Want to know if Morpheus8 is right for you? You can schedule a consultation with our physicians to find out if you’re a good candidate for Morpheus8; we’ll create a custom treatment plan for your individual goals. Though every skin type is different, a majority of patients qualify for this treatment.
Morpheus8 provides long-lasting results. Its radiofrequency technology will gradually boost your collagen production, so your results will continually improve over time - they are best seen about 3 months after your session. Additionally, patients may include Morpheus8 with other cosmetic treatments to complement their skin rejuvenation. We offer a variety of treatment options at New Skin Laser and can safely outline an effective treatment plan for your desired results during your consultation.
The number of treatment sessions is tailored to the individual and depends on treatment parameters, though we generally recommend multiple sessions for the best results. Typically, high energies treatments require 1-3 sessions every 3-6 weeks. Lower energies treatments require 2-4 sessions every 3-6 weeks. Additionally, we recommend a maintenance session about every 6 months. These are average estimations and during your consultation our physicians will create a custom treatment plan to suit your individual needs.
Although Morpheus8 uses needles, it is generally considered tolerable. Perceptions of comfort vary from patient to patient and we take measures to make the experience as pleasant as possible. Our team at New Skin Laser will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area beforehand to ensure your comfort during the procedure. This is at no additional cost.
Morpheus8 is a safe and FDA-approved treatment. There is minimal downtime after treatment and it is a non-invasive, non-surgical skin tightening procedure.
There may be redness for the first 24 hours and swelling lasting 1-3 weeks after the treatment, but these are mild and temporary in nature, akin to a sunburn. Patients must understand the importance of pre-treatment and post-treatment care. Failure to comply with these instructions may increase the probability of complications such as change of skin pigmentation/texture and scarring.
Immediately after treatment, most patients will experience redness for 1-3 days, but for more aggressive treatments this may last longer. Slight to moderate swelling/sunburn sensations are also common post treatment and may last 1-3 days. Skin may crust and peel for 2-7 days depending on treatment settings. Cooling the skin can reduce discomfort and excessive skin response. A topical ointment may be applied to the face, but no bandages or wraps are necessary. Avoid scrubbing or trauma to the treated area. As soon as the needle holes close (in 1-3 days), moisturizer, sun-screen, and make-up may be applied. Patients should avoid sun exposure and use a zinc oxide sun block SPF 30+ at all times after 24-48 hours.
We will review the post-treatment care again with you in office before your departure and answer any additional questions you may have.
