Lipodissolve involves Localized injections of phosphatidylcholine (PC) with deoxycholate (DC) to reduce superficial deposits of fat. Many center tend to use vitamins or other ingredients to dissolve the fat which have very little effect if any. With the combination of phosphatidylcholine with deoxycholic acid, you can have great results and reduction of localized fat. Kybella is a product with deoxycholic acid which has gained FDA approval.
Lipodissolve is best to be used for small areas that is difficult to get rid of or stubborn fat. Phosphatidylcholine is a soybean extract, and deoxycholate is a bile derivative (similar to our gallbladder producing bile to dissolve fat ingested in our meals). Phosphatidylcholine is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to break down blood fats that may increase risk for heart disease.
Make sure that your doctor is familiar with Lipodissolve and or other methods of dissolving fat.

If you are considering lipodissolve, your next step is a consultation with one of our doctors at New Skin Laser Center. We are very familiar with lipodissolve treatments and alternative spot reduction treatments. We also offer Warm Sculpting called Sculpsure which usually needs about two treatments for small area fat dissolving. Discussion with your doctor and the solution or treatment recommended is the best first step. If the doctor suggests an alternative treatment such as liposuction, be sure to ask about all aspects of the procedure, including liposuction risks and liposuction recovery. Costs for lipodissolve depends on how much volume is being used. At New Skin Laser Center, we usually recommend one vial to be used initially as it causes less swelling and pain. This approach also allows you to evaluate your results. The cost for one vial of Kybella is $500 and one vial of lipodissolve is $350. may range from $350 to $1,500 per treatment. Up to four to six treatments may be needed.
Please note that multiple sessions are needed to achieve results. Lipodissolve and Kybella will need 3-6 sessions and Sculpsure usually needs only 1-2 sessions.
